Double glazed partitions

Exemplary services of partitioning with tempered glass walls

Tempered glass walls are elements of interior design which transpose in a modern way the geometry of space distribution. They are an inspired choice for offices, commercial offices and residential settings. Glass partitions make the most of the space through the circulation of natural light and allows the zones to be open to areas of interest.

Partitioning can be done with different types of glass, be it transparent or inscribed with different messages or images. Glass walls can be fastened in various arrangements, with fixed panels, single or double doors, in a continuous plane or can be positioned at different angles.

Functional partitions are open spaces of the imagination

In order to outline a space with versatile openings, the SECURIT factory makes moveable walls, made out of several glass panels hat can be folded sideways, can stack in the parking niche, or can be removed to free up the whole space, being an ingenious solution where the space does not allow the installation of normal opening doors.

Mobile glass partitions allow you to turn a confined space into an open one, they are ideal in homes, as partitions between rooms or can be used for closing terraces and balconies or in commercial spaces. The walls can be designed to include glass doors or can be made out of glass panels that slide. Tempered glass panels are mounted onto a fixed rolling track on the ceiling, with special rollers which allow the walls to be easily operated within its structural framework.

Technical aspects worthy of taking into account

The special properties of tempered glass are multiple. Even if the glass walls seem fragile at first glance, they can withstand severe shocks. An electronically controlled thermal treatment is used in the manufacturing process of the tempered glass.

The straight glass is heated to a temperature level of about 680°C, followed by sudden cooling, which generates a strong compression, to allow the tempered glass to acquire a resistance of up to 3 to 4 times higher to mechanical and thermal stress compared to normal glass that has the same configuration, tempered glass has greater stability to temperature differences of up to 200°C.

Pushed beyond the limits of endurance, tempered glass breaks through fragmentation into small particles and poses no major risk of injury. Tempered glass can withstand shocks 5 times higher than ordinary glass and can register an average bending pressure break point of 120N / mm². Due to its soundproofing properties, rooms are protected against noise, and resistance to mechanical pressure is high.

SECURIT tempered glass partitions,
a practical solution

In addition, it maintains the appearance of new, it doesn’t leave scratches, and glass walls maintenance is rather easy and does not require high maintenance costs. The walls do not require structural changes, which eliminates additional costs. Tempered glass partitions do not require welding. The fittings elements used are resistant, but also very discrete, which gives the space an elegant look.

By utilizing glass walls, functional divisions can be created, allowing the circulation of natural light, as such the residents will not need auxiliary light sources during the day and will perform their activity in a healthier environment. The aesthetic effect proposed by partitioning with glass walls is impressive. Spaces become bigger, being open to the creative imagination of the mind. The dimensions of the walls can be adapted according to the space, and the design that can be applied upon the glass comes with unlimited possibilities.
